My brother told me a true story, but do you think this sounds more like an urban legend ?

Posted on September 27th, 2009 by admin in urban places after | 1 Comment »

My brother’s friend plays the accordian. He was worried about leaving it in the car downtown as he dined at a restaurant, afraid it might get stolen. After his dinner he returned to his car and found the window smashed in. Fearing the worst he looked in the back and found his accordian and another accordian placed right beside it. Nothing else was missing. What do you think, urban legend or do people hate accordians that much that this is believable ?

No that was a joke. It is not true. I think it was made up to illustrate the unpopularity of the accordion. I think I heard something like this before, but it wasn’t an accordion. I can’t remember what it was though. Thanks for that, quite funny.

Im bisexual and want a boyfriend, how do i find one?

Posted on September 27th, 2009 by admin in urban meeting place | 9 Comments »

since i’m only 14 years old its hard to find a boyfriend even though i live in a urban place. I dont care if i meet them online and its a long distance relationship. im a nice and good looking person and im not girly at all. So how can i get a boyfriend or find a boyfriend?

P.S: it doesnt matter if there gay or bi

Hun, you need to just live your life. Love is not something you can look for. It has to take two people and bump them into each other, whether its the guy at Starbucks or your best friend of fifteen years. You need to just live your life while you are young and enjoy every second of it. And have fun being single, you can flirt with anyone you want!

Who else enjoys Urban Exploring?

Posted on September 27th, 2009 by admin in great urban places | 3 Comments »

And what places in the UK, of course, have some really great abandoned places?

thanks
Brilliant, thanks AvonDrow, thats not to far, so thats great, I’ll have to check it out when I get a car..hopefully won’t be too long.

Anymore answers?
PullTheTrigger, its basically going to abandoned buildings (houses, asylums, hospitals etc.) and just exploring, filming, taking pictures..
Its a hobby really, and I enjoy it alot. It usually gives you an adrenaline rush, especially if the place is creepy, supposedly haunted or dark. And its interesting to see what you find.
The rules are:
1. Don’t explore alone, in case you need help. Sometimes you might come across homeless people who may attack for a few reasons, or druggies.
2. Don’t take anything you find, as it allows others to enjoy too.

peace

I was into it before anyone had a name for it!
There are some good sites around Bristol!

Can someone tell me a really good place to have an urban party in. And is it cheap?

Posted on September 27th, 2009 by admin in an urban place | 2 Comments »

WTF is an "urban" party?
Is that PC for ghetto or low rent or no class or what??!!!!

i need a place very urban do you know where???

Posted on September 27th, 2009 by admin in the urban place | 2 Comments »

im a model and i want to do a photo shoot. Im lookin for a very urban place. like a lonely st that looks very urban/ghetto. Do you know any place here boston like that?

You have to search really high and low. Try taking a look under the highways, you can find some great spots with graffiti in the back drop for you. You have to just drive around through someof the industrial places and really scout out spots. Make sure to ask owners permission and get the right permits so your photoshoot isn’t cut short. Depending on ghetto becareful if you have lots of expensive equipment. I would recommned bringing someone "big" with you just incase.

You know that urban myth about the sushi place that serves sushi on a naked woman?

Posted on September 27th, 2009 by admin in urban place | 8 Comments »

well, is there an urban myth about a bakery that serves dessert treats on a naked woman?.. i kind of think i’d prefer that place to the sushi place…

by the way, i like sushi…

The sushi thing is not a myth it’s real.
As for the bakery thing…
I’m pretty sure I remember playing "The Baker and the Candle Stick Maker" just last weekend with you. LOL :)

Is the air pollution bad in the winter in the urban area you reside in?

Posted on September 27th, 2009 by admin in urban place apartments | 3 Comments »

I *rarely* have respiratory problems, and if I do it is in the Spring with allergies. But last winter and this winter in the SF Bay Area I have had both allergy and cold symptoms, I think because the air pollution is so bad here right now because this January we have hardly had any rain and the air is dirty from vehicle emissions and burning wood.
Granted, there is too much dust in my apartment but that will by gone by this Thursday when I have professional cleaners clean my place way better than I do, but the last few weeks I have had to fight off a head cold from moving down into my chest like it did last year.
I think that the local Bay Area media is avoiding covering the terrible winter air quality.

Fairbanks Alaska, when the temperature drops they have an issue called Ice Fog… this is pollutant filled air that forms Ice crystals and hangs like a down comforter in the air. you can compare it to the fog in Monterey bay or SF only 9 times worse.

Where can I find similar type styles of clothing to such places as Urban Outfitters, SupermarketHQ, basically?

Posted on September 27th, 2009 by admin in urban places | 5 Comments »

indie type shops that I may not of heard of but might want to shop at. Please don’t hesitate to throw some ideas in even if it’s a little off center. I really would like to broaden my horizons.
I’m a guy, haha sorry if I threw some people off…

you should go to a thrift store. lots of people from all around shop at all different stores you may not know about that may have your taste in clothing. And when they don’t want their clothes from that store anymore they send them to the thrift store, a place with hollister clothes and american eagle and abercrombie for like 3 dollars.
