whos been to urban outfitters?

Posted on April 16th, 2010 by admin in other urban places | 1 Comment »

well i really really really like their clothes, but i cant afford them. have you’ve been to other places that have the same style as them and are a reasonable price? if you have, where?

I love Urban but feel the same way you do – $58 for a t-shirt is a bit ridiculous!!

Try looking for sale items. I’ve found tons of great pieces in their clearance section, both in store and online. Last time I was in one of their stores, I found a pair of shorts for $10 that were usually $72, I’ve gotten all sorts of tank tops for $2 or $3 that were perfectly fine. They always have some great deals online too.

I’ve noticed that Forever 21 has stepped it up and begun selling "Urban-like" pieces. Their "Heritage 1981" line is almost exactly like the majority of styles you’d find at UO. Keep your eyes out for funky things at thrift stores too!

Good luck! Have a great week.

OH AND WHERES A GOOD PLACE TO BUY GOOD SKINNY JEANS?? I HAVE TROUBLE FINDING GOOD ONES.

Hollister has cute skinny jeans and Forever 21 has a lot too. There is a store called Buckle that has cute urban styled clothes and also Lucky Brand clothing is urban-like but they can be pricey sometimes too. On their sites they usually have sales though

Do guys who live in the South and Midwest use hair gel?

Posted on April 11th, 2010 by admin in other urban places | 4 Comments »

I live in New Jersey…I was told that in the NY/NJ area and other urban areas around the country are the only places where so many guys use hair gel. They said you can instantly point out people from New Jersey, is this so?

Do they sell 2% milk in New Jersey, because us in the Midwest drink it and you can point us out… Yes, people use gel everywhere!?!

What is a good urban area in Puerto Rico?

OK I posted a question a few days ago about stores in PR. I am moving to the northern area of PR & I want to open an urban clothing store. I have been to all the towns in this area, but I would like to get others opinions on what do u think is the best area to open an urban clothing store? I need a place w/ traffic & stores & lots of young teens & adults that are into urban clothes/music, etc. I want to put it somewhere it will sell. Also some of these brand names are not cheap like other clothing stores in the area. Basically I am considering Vega Baja, Manati, Dorado, Barceloneta etc. I am considering Arecibo & Bayamon b/c they are more urban but they are a little far. Please give your input. Thank u

I live here in PR and help run a family business in Dorado. If you want heavy foot traffic I would suggest you go to Bayamon. But the Barceloneta mall has recently started an expansion, you might want to check on space availability. If you have high end items I would definitely stay away from the west and go more towards the metro area. Keep your eye on Dorado it is undergoing rapid expansion, there is a shopping center that is built, but not yet open next to the Amigo on Avinida de Jose Efran. Go by there and see if you can find out when (or if) they plan to open. Near Cerro Gordo beach in Vega Alta there is a shopping center recently open, and is now leasing, called Plaza Del Mar. This is less than three miles from Dorado’s town center and less than 1 from some of the most expensive residential areas in Dorado.
The problem with this place is that since being open they have already opened and closed 6 businesses ranging from an Argentinian leather goods store, to a Pizza Wheels. But three businesses are doing well there. Good luck

Where can I buy a urban bicycle?

Posted on March 30th, 2010 by admin in other urban places | 4 Comments »

Hi, I’m looking for a place that sells urban bicycles for under 200 dollars or near there. I’ve already tried Urban Outfitters and 400 is a little too pricey. Tried E-bay, but couldn’t find any results. Anybody know some other site/store? Please and thank you!

Performance Bikes. Brick and mortar or on line.

Then you can search for local bike shops in your area. Most have urban bikes. You should be able to find an acceptable bike for $200-ish. Less than $400. Expand your search to Hybrids also, should be close to what you are looking for and I have seen several for $300.

dreams can come true? myths and urban legends?

Posted on March 28th, 2010 by admin in other urban places | 3 Comments »

hi i’m a doing a psychology project, but i’m doing something a bit different can anybody tell me if there are any places in the world or supposed mystic people that can grant any wishes true. myths and urban legends, with the same principal of a genie but a bit more difficult and with more meaning. i have herad of the myth of three coins in a fountain, and wishing upon a lucky or shooting star. but are there any others that people know off and have heard about?. i thought it would be intresting when i heard people talk about weird and strange things that people experience i.e. deja-vu, hypnosis and mind control, fates etc. nothing to do with dreams. but it was then asked the question can dreams be granted, and not the most commons dreams like i wish i was rich or cure diseases, but other things. anyway my question was does nybody know of other myths and urban legends of places or people who can grant wishes and dreams true?

I don’t know about dreams being granted, but science thinks there may be something called pre-cognitive dreams in which one dreams about something that will happen. When President Kennedy was assassinated, hundreds and hundreds of people had dreams about something happening to him. It is believed that during sleep some people can tap into the universal unconscious and can get a general feeling of what may happen.

As to a place that feels strange, Sedona, Arizona supposedly has something called vortexes that allow people to do some unique things, but again, I have never seen, read or heard anything that suggests a physical truth.

As to a dream being granted, I have never heard or read about such an occurrence, until now, with your question. Good luck in finding your information.
