First Lomography Camera?
I’ve recently become interested in purchasing my first lomography camera, but i was wondering what is a good first time camera? recently the only place i know where they are readily avaible is "urban outfitters".

I’m not sure which is the right kind to purchase, but i beleive i’ve heard about the "Diana". And also, if i do buy this, whats reccomended to purchase with it? (such as flash, lenses) Also, where do you get your photos developed? Thank you!
I’m not familiar with lomography, but as far as developing your pictures, it depends on the kind of film it uses. If it uses 35mm film, you can get that developed anywhere (CVS, Target, Walgreens, Costco – quality varies). You can also send them to places like Clark color Labs, photoworks, etc.
If it uses medium format film (like 120 film), you will probably need to go to a dedicated photo lab (more expensive).
Are you specifically interested in "lomography", or just film in general? If you are simply interested in film, there are much better cameras out there than Dianas or Holgas. You can find used 35mm film SLRs for pretty cheap now, and they can take better pictures (if you know how to use them).
Does urban sprawl annoy you?
I don’t think suburbs should exist because they take up so much more land than they should – it’s not efficient. I think right past the edge of a city there should be nothing but nature. When new residents move in they can move right into condos , apartments , and houses being built at the edge of the city.
I definately approve of small towns existing , nothing wrong with those at all but it should be hours from any city to ensure that it won’t become a suburb.
Suburbs should all be destroyed and patched up with nature. The cities themselves should maintain high density, and *get* density if it doesn’t have any. But with places like Atlanta and Houston none of this would be possible.
Zippity is that so explain further – the input from your fingers can’t back anything up.
Three cheers for NATURE!
My college roommate and I are moving into an apartment, and we are looking for housewares?
We need a place to find cool housewares for cheap. We are both sophomores in college and are on a somewhat tight budget. We like interesting things from Urban Outfitters and Crate & Barrel. I have already looked at Target, and Ikea, Overstock, just looking to see if anyone knows of any ‘different’ sites. Thanks!
I realize you want "cool", but if money is tight, you should consider "practical". Expand your search to dollar stores–Dollar General and Dollar Tree if you have any in your area. Scour yard sales and flea markets, too.
American? What do you think of Canada.?
I read all these questionson yahoo answers, and a crap load of them are racist and soooo dumb.
I’m now assuming that the states is also much more racist. do you agree?
Know that i’m here, i waan crush some Canadian stereotypes.
-the first and most common one, the word, "eh". ! meet some american people and they think that’s all we say. but the fact is i know of no one who says that all the time. I hears americans say it just as much.
-Also, Canada is not always cold, it’s cold in winter and some of fall. This ones quite popular, I’ve heard it all the time that "Canada’s cold up there"
-We do not live in Igloos. That one must be a joke! I couldn’t believe people would think that. but, i know not all americans are dumb though.
we live in houses, apartments, condos, and mansions
-We have huge downtown urban areas.
i sometimes see Canada depicted on TV as this, country wilderness place with those mounty police.
in conclusion, what do you really think of Canada?
aha "curls" your friend says "eh" alot? lol
no problem "sexiidyme" ![]()
Yeah props to "crazy girl"!
I like Canada. I don’t live there, but I live near the border. I go to Toronto every so often. Up near the Arctic Circle it must be very cold, I don’t think many people live that up north. That might be the "wilderness". And for your first comment, eh.
Puppy, litter boxes and an apartment… HELP?
Im moving into an apartment next month, and there are NO green spaces, its an urban area, so there are no parks close by. I just got a maltese, and he is trained to do this business outside, in a cement area we have in our current house. But my new place does not allow dogs wandering around. The apartment has patios, but they are both ceramic tiles. And to make matters worst, it pours for 4 months straight where i live. (Its like living in a rain forest). So, i was about too give my pup to my mom, cuz she has a large back yard, but she has 2 HUGE dogs, so im kinda worried plus i dont wanna give him away
. So im wondering if anyone has had experiences with litter boxes for dogs, i have googled some, but not completely sure about em, or if someone has any ideas THEY WOULD BE APPRECIATED!! thnx! and sorry if its looong!!
btw, i used pee pee pads. they smell HORRIBLE, plus, he eats them!
i would leave with your mom because im pretty sure it wont like stayin in one place it might be bored and stuff

Controlling Girlfriend or Independence?
I found a place in Newark near the business district. Nice apartment, spacious, with attic etc. My girlfriend of a couple of months is upset that I picked that place. Mind you she is not moving in with me, nor is she living with me at present. However, she feels that since I picked that place after she shared with me that fact that Newark has a reputation of being high crime…after all, urban communities have crime period…that we should break up if i move over there. She already said she refuses to visit me if I go there, and that I would be putting her safety at risk.
Should I just move on the deal? Or should I listen to her and look for somewhere else in the city?
Personally I would go for the apartment. It seems to me that your girlfriend is being pretty melodramatic and besides breaking up with someone over where they live is a pathetic reason; sounds like you’d be better being well shot of her.
