haunted place/urban legend the hanging tree?

i heard about this on someone elses question called the hanging tree its a haunted place and urban legend i searched it but cant find it anywhere,
anyone know about it or site with info on it?

Honestly since I’m more into the ancient classic mythology(but any mythology fascinates me really) I don’t know much bout it but from what I do know back in the 18th-19th century in England the general place for hangings was either from a tree or the gallows. Since this has a lot of death surrounding it this attracts the spirits of the deceased thus you get the haunting of the place where their life ended.

The town formerly known as Skrunda-1 housed about 5,000 people during the Cold War but was abandoned over a decade ago after the Russian military withdrew from Latvia following the Soviet collapse. Found this on yahoo looked like the perfect place for the show to take place

Well, the myth is quite a common one, even here in the UK, and the basic idea goes like this: some places or things become places of death, often in bizarre ways, and hanging trees are one of them. They are generally thought to be the trees popularly used by lynch mobs for hangings, or were used as official hanging sites, and the trees and the area around them have been haunted by death and violence ever since, sometimes in strange circumstances.

Since I’m a student of Urban Planning and this question related to my thesis subject, I would be happy to be aware about your idea.

That would depend on a lot of factors. What is the open place? What are we doing? What’s the weather like? If it’s beautiful outside, I love to be outside. Camping, hiking, rafting. Doing something. Restaurants seem to be too cold and too crowded for my taste.

But if we are just sitting there not doing anything I’d rather be in a restaurant. At least then I can have food and drink.
