However, sometimes people eat too much and for all the wrong reasons. Stress and anxiety can cause an individual to eat more than they otherwise would because people are often trying to take their minds off of a particular problem or situation. For some people, this means that they will distract themselves with food. If they are uncomfortable, they can turn to food to help them or to take their mind off of what is going on in their life. By simply having healthy things around a home, a person can, at the very least, switch from snacking on items that might be unhealthy, to snacking on things that may improve their health and/or lifestyle.
