Where can I buy a urban bicycle?

Hi, I’m looking for a place that sells urban bicycles for under 200 dollars or near there. I’ve already tried Urban Outfitters and 400 is a little too pricey. Tried E-bay, but couldn’t find any results. Anybody know some other site/store? Please and thank you!

Performance Bikes. Brick and mortar or on line.

Then you can search for local bike shops in your area. Most have urban bikes. You should be able to find an acceptable bike for $200-ish. Less than $400. Expand your search to Hybrids also, should be close to what you are looking for and I have seen several for $300.

    It’s amazing what great bikes you can get for about $300 these days. Go to your local bike shop and check them out, and look through the catalogs and websites of the brands that impress you the most.

    If you don’t have the money to slap down $300 right away, talk to the bike shop. Virtually all bike shops will do layaway in my experience. Pick out the bike, put down money on it, and they will put it aside for you until you’ve paid the entire amount. Be aware of any limits they may have on how long they’re willing to hang on to it while you pay it off–simply because they only have so much space to store bikes–and make sure to ask if there is a restocking fee or percentage if you end up not buying that bike (usually 10% of the price and you get the rest of your money back).

    On layaway, figure on paying it off in the next three months;

    Realize that layaway isn’t the same as financing or leasing, so the price is locked but you don’t have to worry about your credit, interest or penalties;

    Pay as large a down payment as you can;

    Don’t buy a bike that is more expensive than you can afford to pay for;

    Most sellers will allow you to change you bike selection while still paying it off without any penalty, so if it turns out you can afford a better bike and you really want it, don’t be afraid to ask if you can change which one they put aside for you.

    A bike for under $200 is going to be a piece of junk. People spend more on a TV and think nothing of it if it works only 2 yers.
