Am I a Urban Girl or Rural Girl?

I used to live in one of the biggest cities in the US, which was metropolitan and i perfectly fit in the dynamic metro city atmosphere then.. but I had to move to suburban area for my college and its been almost 3 years living in suburban… i am getting used to this area, or I have already fully adapted myself to this environment. I found people here are nicer than them in the city, and traffic is much lighter, air quality is better, quieter, cleaner, more easygoing.. there are so many things I find better in suburb such as where I reside now.

But I still often visit the city at least once a week and i always feel so excited about being there because there are a lot more things to do to have fun,, people to watch,, places to visit, etc..

But the traffic is so heavy there and the rude people there sicken me and I feel exhausted when I am back in suburb here.

Where exactly do I fit better? the city or the suburb? I dont know myself.. I might want to live in a countryside, too.. LOL

You are lucky enough to be able to appreciate the good qualities of BOTH suburban life and city life, and that is a blessing because you are adaptable. You might one day have to move back to the city for a job – and unlike someone who could only love the suburbs, you would be able to focus on the positive things about the city and enjoy living there.
And if you ended up living in a suburb for years, well that wouldn’t really be a problem either because there’s so many things you like about living there.

What you are is called ‘versatile’. You can find the positive in any situation. That is a very, very special skill to have, because it will make your life happy.
People who are too rigidly stuck to black and white thinking (it’s got to be either good or bad, all or nothing, this or that) tend to end up unhappy because life just doesn’t work that way.

Sounds to me like you have it good for now. You like the suburbs and you also like living close to the city so that you can go out on the town if the mood strikes. You’d also one day like to try living in the country, or maybe another country entirely..

Why limit yourself to one area when there’s so much to like about all these different places.

:)
