I’m about to make a move to center city Philly. Don’t know anyone in town yet. Whats a good club or hang in philly were I can meet some nice girls and maybe some new friends. No ignorant places or people please. I hear philly clubs getting shot up a lot. I really don’t like ignorant people.
I guess an urban crowd or even. As diverse as possible. I like being around different kinds of people. Not much of dancer but I can hold my own, lol. Is there like a def poetry jam type place in philly. Just some place were you can me some cool people. I’m an artist so cool art spots. But some fun night life places, safe places, no ignorant crowds/people. Thanks.
Without sounding racist, the clubs with the shootings are almost always the predomninately African American clubs. Two nice areas of bars you should check out are Northern Liberties and Old City…..you should have no safety issues there. Northern Libs is more alternative/bohemian vibe while Old City is more preppy/upscale.

Local people plan events and invite others to go along. They do all sorts of things from concerts, to movies, to happy hours, etc.
I would also suggest you check out First Friday in Old City. There are tons of galleries there and on the first Friday of every month they open the doors and invite people to check out the work and just hang out.

OK i am a philadelphian and a club hopper im originaly from newark new jersey so i know about partying. ok u want a nice grown and sexy mixed crowd u want to go to south street to a place called fat tuesdays. go there on a friday or saturday it is more like a lounge and they have these frozen slurpy margiritas that come out of slurpy machines and they will mess u up. the music is good and u will find people from all ages and races dancing to hiphop. south street is good for u because there are alot of clubs and bars and lounges there and all the tourist go there and there are plenty of police, and taxis to take you home

Go to Old City. There are nice martini bars, lounges, clubs, and pubs. You can’t go wrong. It’s very nice, safe, and upscale.
