In an Urban setting where is a good place to have a secret base?

I’m trying to brainstorm for a location in something I am writing. I need a place that someone could hide a large base hidden in an urban setting. Anyone have any clever ideas?

Under a VOLCANO!! :p

How about under a large over-pass next to some railroad tracks where the winos have a fire burning in a trash barrel?

Well, you could probably do so underground, maybe under an abandoned building.

Hmmm subway tunnels and abandoned warehouses have been done to death. How about the huge open baggage handling areas underneath the tarmacs in airports? Denver (DIA) is a great example because they built it and never got it to work. Now the baggage handling system lies abandoned underground while they move luggage above ground the old way, using tugs and trailers.

    This space is HUGE!
