where did Man vs Wild, Urban Survivor take place?

Where did man vs wild urban survivor take place? like what country? what abandoned city? and what current city is it near?

SKRUNDA, Latvia
The town formerly known as Skrunda-1 housed about 5,000 people during the Cold War but was abandoned over a decade ago after the Russian military withdrew from Latvia following the Soviet collapse. Found this on yahoo looked like the perfect place for the show to take place

Of the countries on the Baltic, the language on the signs could only have been Polish. It’s hard to tell what city he was in, but it may not be an ‘abandoned city" as such. Perhaps it was just a derelict port / shipyard within a city. Maybe Gdansk?

Commenters on YouTube seem to agree: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqGdqCOJzjE

I suspect they’re not saying for sure so people don’t go and hurt themselves trying it for themselves (or looting scrap).

Update: Elsewhere on the net they’re saying it’s "Stocznia Gdynia", which is a shipyard. Gdynia is 25-30km NNW of Gdansk on Poland’s Baltic coast.

My wife is Polish, and she says from what she can tell…..the writing is in Polish. So I would agree, somewhere in Poland. Crazy how that would be urban survival…..Poland is a pretty dense population..people are everywhere.
