do i have a phobia, if so which one?

i am really creeped out and feel really uncomfortable when im surrounded by weird unfamiliar things. the most frightening dreams i have are ones where i am in weird places where i don’t know anyone or where i am or anything. they frighten me so much i feel like im not in control and i dont know whats going to happen to me. i often get creeped out after watching myth and urban legend shows. the movie "AI" makes me feel very uncomfortable when the boy is under ice with the teddy bear. i often have weird dreams like what he went through in that movie. the movie "k-pax" when he remembers when he killed the family, when it goes back to the scene with the empty house and its showing where they were murdered…i also feel VERY uncomfortable. what fear is this?

It is natural, in my opinion to feel uncomfortable in unfamiliar surroundings. I am very in to dream interpretation, so on the note of having those dreams, maybe you should interpret them with the help of www.dreammoods.com. But if you feel like the uncomfortableness of unfamiliar surroundings hold you back from meeting people or in your job, I think you should seek professional help. Search the internet for local psychologist if you feel that is necesary.

i dont think you have a phobia, you’re just really scared of scary movies. And also it’s more ANXIETY, if youre really concerned about this, go to a therapist, they’ll tell you wat u have.

You don’t have a phobia. You are simply trying to process the information, which is "not real" in your mind. It’s not a fear simply trouble processing fact from fiction.

Xenophobia- fear of the unknown. Maybe just social anxiety or mild paranoia. Phobias tend to get worse if you withdraw from what you are afraid of and they get better if you confront what you fear, but you get through the experience safely. So: sheltering yourself or getting hurt could make you more fearful, but successfully facing things that might be scary will make you more confident.
Urban Legends creeps everyone out. That’s what it was made to do.

Fear is fear, and only becomes a phobia when it interferes with ones life. Sounds like, from your post, that although it frightens you, you continue to subject yourself to events where you are frightened.

Perhaps what you are experiencing is simply what most experience, given the same stimulation, but you give expression to what you are experiencing a bit more?

You mention "I feel like I’m not in control…" Not knowing what is going to happen and being out of control are similar fears, each being a fear of the unknown. The best way to deal with it is to practice saying "what will be, will be." Fate Karma, in other words. If embraced, it really does settle one down in life, since there’s nothing that is going to happen that isn’t supposed to happen, and no way to interfere with it, so why worry about it? Deal with it as it is happening.

    Peace

this is close to the core issue of woman and they all seem to use this on man when they get to blame some one for it. but if you didn’t have this caused by a man. there is a chance pressident as some as a woman isn’t comfortable with what come out of a man that makes the same key board letter in to words that say the same thing you wrote have a different handle on it. but it’s just woman stuff no phobia there’s a lot of it going around
